The Brook Kishon and Mount Carmel
The brook Kishon with Mt. Carmel
Mt. Carmel (1740 ft/535 m), the scene where Ahab and Jezebels priests of Baal withstood in open defiance the God of Heaven in the days of Elijah the prophet after 3 ½ years of drought resulting in the end of probation for these priests and judgment upon them, their destruction. While they had all the evidence that a mightier God than Baal reigns, they would not relinquish their long held superstitions and insisted on continuing to influence the people of Israel to do evil in the sight of God.
