Tin-Hinan, Queen of the Tuareg

[0300] The Lesser & Greater Gulf of Sidra (German: Kleine & Große Syrte) are regions were historical events unfolded. In the West's Lesser Gulf of Sidra erected, largely Greek immigrants, the city of Carthage and in the East, the Greater Gulf of Sidra, in the highlands of Barka, Cyrenaica by the Bay of Cyrene was located. [0500] In 1823 Arabs and a mixed multitude of warriors caravaned from Tripoli south to Fessan, Mandara and Adamaua. From the latter region they continued on toward Dirkulla, the great city of the Fulbe people in order to rob and force their victims into slavery. The date was Wednesday, April 30, 1823. Just south to the island of Ibiza was the smaller I. Formentera. On the coast nearby was Alicante, C. Santa Pola, I. Plana. Near Carthago was Massia and C. Trete. Near C. Pityussa was Almeria and Carmona was Bencarron. Gibralta was then known as Calpe.
