  1. Rio Tinto: The ancient silver mines of the Rio Tinto and Castulo, east of Rio Tinto, are located in the Western Sierra Morena near the origin of the river (at ca. Long. West 6.7°& Lat. 37.7° North) from where it flows into the Gulf of Cadiz.[See BAR, July 1998, p. 50]
